About us

Our names are Madison and Lucas Kane, and we are high-school students who have devoted time to the education of seniors on the use of new technology. After a few conversations with our grandparents, it became really clear that the growing popularity of podcasts represented a technical trend that might be daunting to seniors while also providing a format for listening that was really familiar to what seniors had grown up on, radio.

This site contains our efforts to help further the enrichment of senior lives via technology, in this specific case, podcasts. We provide guidance on how to navigate the podcast technology landscape, as well as offering recommendations for podcasts targeted at the senior set.

After researching the history of radio, we decided to name the site “Modern Marconi”, as podcasts are the new and modern version of radio technology, which was created by Guglielmo Marconi.
